Larkin HoodChas BruaThis offering, facilitated by Larkin Hood, and Chas Brua, SITE Faculty Consultants will be facilitated in a blended learning format beginning June 5 and ending July 10. The course will include two-hour meetings scheduled on three Wednesdays (a total of 6 hours face-to-face) at  Schuylkill and Hazleton. Participants must attend at least two of the face-to-face meetings, participate in online activities, and complete three certificate assignments to earn the Schreyer Institute Course in College Teaching certificate.  Faculty who do not wish to earn the certificate are welcome to attend and are not required to complete the assignments.

Prepping Your Syllabus for Fall

This workshop will be a hands-on opportunity to get feedback about a syllabus you’re developing for a fall course. Participants should bring a draft syllabus that they'd like to receive feedback on. By the end of the workshop, participants should be able to evaluate their own syllabus for a) elements required by the University, b) issues related to clarity of information, and c) issues related to tone. Research Associate and Instructional Consultant  Chas Brua will facilitate.
