Rubrics

A rubric is a scoring guide designed to help you rate written assignments along the dimensions that you want students to address. Although creating a rubric can be time-consuming, it will actually save you time. If you give students the rubric along with the assignment, you will receive better-prepared papers, which eases grading. You will also have a systematic document that will enable scoring that is closely aligned with your learning objectives, fair to students, and relatively quickly accomplished.
